Ups & Downs for the All England Teams

There's been a number of highs and lows this week with 6 games that were due to be played in all catagories. On Tuesday MMCC were due to take on Thorpe Arnold in the Burrough League Cup but were beaten by the rain, 'We 'R' out to get Ya!' took part in the Melton Pool League Cup competition and were beaten by the Workie Wonders!

On Friday MMCC were to take part in the Salaman Cup at Egerton Park but again were beaten by the weather so the game was decided by a bowl off and unfortunatley lost!

On Saturday MMCC 1st XI took on Illston Abbey 2 and although there were some good performances our first team lost only their second game of the season.

HOWEVER . . . .

Our MMCC 2nds who have been struggling to find any form so far, pulled on out of the hat and beat Shepshed Messengers 2 with Lee Jones to scoring with the bat, 56.

Summer Pool League

The summer Pool League has started with a narrow defeat at home for We 'R' out to get Ya! and a 6-3 away win for League virgins The Cutting Cue.

1st round Cup Win

Congratulations to Rupert Smallshaws team for the Burrough League Knockout Cup 1st round victory over Sproxton. Solid performances from Mike Pratt (84) and  John Taylor (5 wickets) helped seal the win.

GOOD LUCK TO THE STELLAMEN TONIGHT IN THE BELVOIR LEAGUE CUP AS THEY TAKE ON BOTTESFORD AWAY.
